How the Martian Chronicles Changed Science Fiction (and Literature)

The Martian Chronicles.  A novel written by an author who's name should be familiar to you, or at least ring a bell.  An author who is known today as one of the greatest to have lived.  His name is Ray Bradbury.

Bradbury has, quite frankly, changed the way we see literature today.  With eloquently structured sentences that string together and flow oh-so-poetically, he's made a real change.  His writing is filled to the brim with metaphors that always stand for something much more than what meets the eye.  In order to fully enjoy the experience of Bradbury's writing, one must read more so in-between the lines, rather than taking everything literally.  Every sentence, every word, is imbued with so much more meaning than you might think.

I believe that Ray Bradbury truly made an innovation in science fiction, especially.  In the Martian Chronicles, he focuses on the domestic aspects of life, which is not something that you see happening often within books of that genre.  Not only this, but some events are loosely based off of actual events that have happened in our own history.

Overall, I agree with what the article "How Ray Bradbury's 'the Martian Chronicles' Changed Science Fiction (and Literature)" by Tyler Miller is saying, for Ray Bradbury truly did impact not only science fiction, but today's literature as a whole.
